Sunvil Travel

Find the real country

In 1970 Sunvil took its first tentative steps into the holiday market with a few self-catering villas in Cyprus. Since then, much has changed: the company has grown to become one of the most respected and trusted small groups of tour operators in the country; together we provide holidays to many fascinating destinations throughout the world. But just as the companies in the Sunvil family have remained owner-managed for all that time, so they have stayed true to the fundamentals that inspired those first steps: a commitment to the independent holidaymaker who wants something different, is not satisfied by either the anonymous or the artificial, and who wants to experience the “real country” and its people.

Flexibility is key: we do not prescribe the sort of holiday it is possible to have, but believe it is our function to tailor-make holidays that fit the individual requirements of our customers. To meet this need, the specialists in our teams are able to advise on the basis of direct experience of all our destinations; additionally, every property has been hand-picked. We eschew overblown descriptions and do not pretend that everywhere is perfect: we believe in telling it like it is. A misinformed customer is one who does not return – and 70% of our bookings are from regulars or on recommendation.

Every member of the Sunvil family is fully bonded with the Civil Aviation Authority and ABTA. Your money is 100% safe. At the forefront of environmental initiatives and good practice, with many accolades and awards from the travel industry and the national press, Sunvil remains dedicated to the idea that holidays are a precious time, best served by a company that is knowledgeable, experienced, reliable and responsive to customers’ interests.

The Alentejo – Portugal’s Gastronomic Soul
Set between the Algarve and Lisbon and covering one third of the whole of Portugal, the Alentejo is a magical, little-known region. With historical hilltop towns crowned by dramatic castles, unique regional cuisine, magnificent wines and olive oil, a long, pristine and undeveloped coastline protected National Parks, rural villages and cork forests to explore – the Alentejo is waiting to be discovered and its coastline like the Algarve’s was 50 years ago.
